We work closely with bridal shops nationwide and are familiar with all major bridal designers.

Guest Policy/what’s required

We know that wedding gown alterations can be intimidating. It is our goal to create a safe, welcoming, and stress-free space during your time with us. We are committed to bringing your vision to life and making your gown fit you perfectly and comfortably. We schedule bridal appointments for one hour. Photos are welcome, and high emotions are anticipated! With that being said, it is imperative to make sure we are able to be productive throughout this hour. Please come prepared for an honest and detailed discussion with our fitting expert. We welcome you to bring a family member or a close friend to help you make decisions about the upcoming alterations in a kind and supportive manner. We kindly ask that brides not bring more than 1 to 2 guests for their fitting. This gives us the chance to talk through our plan for the gown with you without any distractions.

All initial appointments require a $75 non-refundable booking fee, which will be credited to your overall cost if you choose to proceed with alterations with us at that time.

Timeline

Ideally, your first fitting will take place three months prior to your desired event date. This may be your actual wedding date (if your wedding is local), travel date, or the date of your bridal portrait. Shorter time frames may require a rush fee.

First Fitting

At this fitting, you will try your gown on with your exact shoes and shapewear (if any). You will have an hour to discuss your vision for your gown with a skilled seamstress. At this time, your gown will be pinned, and all planned alterations and additions will be notated. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions- this is when we decide together

What work will be done on your dress. You will be asked to look over the worklist along with the itemized prices. Payment for your alterations is due at this time.

***Please note: To ensure accurate alterations, we require that you bring your actual shoes and shapewear that will be worn with your dress on the day of your event.

We take body measurements at each fitting. Please do your best to maintain your measurements throughout the alteration process. Any changes in body measurements, shoe height, or shapewear may result in inaccurate fit, longer turnaround time, and additional fees.

 

Second Fitting

At your second fitting, you will try on your tailored gown. Having someone with you to learn the bustle isn’t mandatory, but it helps. If you’re unable to bring someone with you, we always record a bustle tutorial as a reference! At this fitting, we will discuss progress and decide what additional work may need to be done to achieve the results outlined during the first fitting. Please note: additional fittings may be required.

We appreciate and value your trust! We are dedicated to performing top-quality services. All work is performed on premises by seamstresses authorized to work at Forget Me Knot Alterations & Design Studio LLC. If you are not satisfied with the fit or quality of our work, we will be glad to make any adjustments requested and voiced to us to ensure your satisfaction before the garment leaves the premises. When garment is removed from the store, it is considered complete and satisfactory; any new work requires new payment. Forget Me Knot Alterations & Design Studio LLC is not liable for any third-party work completed on this garment.

All sales are final. No refunds will be issued.

Booking fees:

Bridal: $75

Formal and BM: $50

Casual and menswear: $25

Appointment duration:

Bridal: 1 hour

Formal: 45 min

BM and formal menswear: 30min

Casual: 30 min for 1-2 garments. If we can add 15 min for each additional item, that would be ideal.
